Storylines to watch

Some of the storylines to watch in Week 2 include:

  • The rematch between the Chiefs and Bengals. These two teams met in the AFC Championship Game last season, with the Bengals winning in overtime. The Chiefs will be looking for revenge, while the Bengals will be looking to prove that they are the real deal.
  • The debut of Deshaun Watson. The Browns acquired Watson from the Houston Texans in the offseason, but he was suspended for the first 11 games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Watson will make his Browns debut in Week 2 against the Jets.
  • The return of Trey Lance. The 49ers quarterback missed most of last season with an ankle injury, but he is expected to start in Week 2 against the Seahawks.

Matchups to watch

Some of the matchups to watch in Week 2 include:

  • Chiefs vs. Chargers: This is a rematch of last year's AFC Divisional Round, which the Chiefs won 27-24. The Chargers have a new quarterback in Justin Herbert, but they will still be a tough test for the Chiefs.
  • Bengals vs. Cowboys: This is a matchup of two of the most exciting young teams in the NFL. The Bengals have Joe Burrow at quarterback, while the Cowboys have Dak Prescott. This game could be a shootout.
  • 49ers vs. Seahawks: This is a rivalry that dates back to the early days of the NFL. The 49ers have won the last six meetings between the two teams, but the Seahawks are always a tough opponent at home.
